Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the LeastAction website at leastactionlabs.com (the “Site”) or the LeastAction software platform (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site or Service.
Description of Service
LeastAction is a self-hosted data pipeline orchestration platform distributed under a source-available licence. The Service includes:
- The LeastAction core software and CLI tools
- The LeastAction Marketplace of pre-built operators
- Documentation, APIs, and associated tooling
- This website and any hosted demo environments
Because LeastAction is self-hosted, you are responsible for the infrastructure on which you run it. We do not operate the platform on your behalf unless you have a separate managed services agreement with us.
Accounts & Access
Some features of the Site (such as submitting a contact form or requesting a demo) do not require an account. If we provide account-based access in the future, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at security@leastactionlabs.com
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Site or Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or any third-party systems
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest content from the Site without permission
- Reverse-engineer the compiled portions of the Service beyond what is permitted by the applicable licence
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service
We reserve the right to suspend access for violations of this policy.
Intellectual Property
The LeastAction name, logo, and website content are the property of LeastAction Labs, Inc. and are protected by intellectual property laws. The LeastAction software is distributed under a source-available licence — see our Licence page for details.
The source-available licence grants you specific rights to use, modify, and self-host the software. It does not grant rights to use our trademarks or to offer the software as a managed service to third parties without a commercial licence.
Any feedback, suggestions, or contributions you submit to us may be used by LeastAction Labs without restriction or compensation, unless we have a separate contributor licence agreement in place with you.
Disclaimers
THE SITE AND SERVICE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Because LeastAction is self-hosted, uptime and reliability are your responsibility.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LEASTACTION LABS, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so the above may not apply to you in full.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the Service at any time. Because LeastAction is self-hosted, you retain all data within your own infrastructure upon termination.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules, with proceedings conducted in English. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Site or Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
